Sex&Holidays

What do I need to watch out for?

Vacations are the perfect time to get away from it all, experience new adventures and indulge in the pleasure of the moment. Whether it's romantic nights under a tropical starry sky, exciting encounters on exotic beaches or a city trip with a nice companion - many roads lead to sex.

However, freedom and enjoyment also mean treating yourself and others responsibly. In the euphoria of the moment, the issue of protection can sometimes fade into the background, but it is especially important to be aware of this during spontaneous encounters: HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are widespread worldwide and often go unnoticed.

Whether it's a short affair or a passionate vacation romance - with a few simple prevention measures, you can enjoy your pleasure without worrying. Condoms with a quality seal and PrEP are reliable companions for safe fun and regular health checks give you peace of mind.

Enjoy your freedom, live your passion - get tested regularly. We are here for you and will make sure that your vacation remains a good memory.

Vacations should be relaxing and fun, and so should your memories of them. However, do you have a queasy feeling after the vacation because you are unsure about the HIV/STI status of your affair, one-night stand or acquaintance, for example?

Switching off on vacation and letting yourself drift off is often a temptation to spend loose nights. So that you can still have fun remembering it afterwards, you can find out the most important facts about vacations and sexually transmitted infections here.

In general, "Better safe than sorry" also applies on vacation. Condoms protect against HIV, but do not offer complete protection against other STIs. It is therefore worth getting tested regularly.

Fun Fact
Did you know that...? There are curious sexual health laws in the big wide world. Here are a few examples:
  • → Playing chess during sex? This is not allowed in Tallinn, Estonia.
→ In Nebraska, you are not allowed to be naked during sex. Even married people must wear a nightgown during sexual intercourse. Hotel owners are therefore obliged to provide all guests with a nightgown.
