Privacy Policy
Legal Basis
We handle personal data in line with Swiss data protection laws, especially the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP Ordinance). Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and federal data protection rules (Data Protection Act, FADP), everyone has the right to privacy and protection from misuse of their personal data. We stick to these rules. Your personal data is kept strictly confidential and won't be sold or shared with third parties.
Our services are only for people in Switzerland, so the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) doesn't apply here.
Data Security
Working closely with our hosting providers, we take the right technical and organizational steps to keep your data secure, matching the risks involved. However, we can't guarantee absolute data security.
When you access our website, your connection is encrypted (using SSL / TLS, specifically Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure, or HTTPS). Most browsers show a padlock icon in the address bar to let you know it's secure.
Personal Data
We mainly process personal data to provide our services and fulfill our official duties. The reason we process your data depends mostly on the specific service or product you get from us, or the task we're doing for you.
We might have third parties process your personal data for us. We might also process your data together with third parties or share it with them. These third parties are usually specialized providers whose services we use. Don't worry, we make sure your data is protected even when we work with them.
Counseling Service
- General Info
You decide what information you share with us. We really want to be open and clear about how we handle your personal data. All your personal data is sent over a secure, encrypted (SSL) internet connection. We only collect personal data if you register with us. We only use the info you give us (like age, gender, and postcode) for counseling and for statistics. - Email Address / Login Details
We have an online counseling platform that requires you to log in. Your login details and counseling messages are sent over a secure, encrypted (SSL) internet connection, keeping them safe from unauthorized people. We only use your email address to reset your password or to send you notifications if you want them. Once your account is deleted, your email address is also removed from our database.
On some pages of our website, you can contact us by email. This uses your own email program. Emails from a PC, smartphone, or tablet reach us via the internet. We want to let you know that data sent unencrypted via email over the internet isn't secure. Think of it like sending a postcard. This means there's a chance that unauthorized people could read or change the data you send. - Phone Number
We only use your phone number for notifications related to online counseling, and only if you want us to. Once your account is deleted, your phone number is also removed from our database. If our service uses websms or eCalls, your phone number will be used for notifications through those channels. - Common Rules
Your email addresses and phone numbers are only analyzed anonymously.
Anonymous Testing Site
- General Info
We only process personal data to provide the anonymous testing service you use. To do this, we might have third parties process your data for us. We might also process your data together with third parties or share it with them. These third parties are usually specialized providers whose services we use. Don't worry, we make sure your data is protected even when we work with them. - PCR Swabs
Your samples are sent anonymously to the testing lab and analyzed. The lab reports the anonymous test results to the Federal Office of Public Health for statistics. The data reported doesn't allow anyone to identify the person who was tested. We get your test result, and you can call us to ask for it.
Donor Data
Any personal data related to your donation is only processed to handle your donation. It's only passed on to third parties, like banks handling payments, for this specific purpose.
