Chlamydia and Gonorrhea Test

Getting tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea is quick, painless, and gives you peace of mind. With a simple swab, you'll find out in just a few days if you have an infection – it's discreet and reliable.

What are Chlamydia and Gonorrhea?

Chlamydia and gonorrhea are bacterial infections that can spread through sexual contact, like:

  • Petting and oral sex
  • Penetrative sex
  • Sharing sex toys
  • Even kissing, in rare cases

Both infections can be easily treated with antibiotics if caught early.

How does the test work?

  • It's a swab test where we take small samples from your mucous membranes.
  • The process is painless.
  • Depending on your sexual practices and body, swabs are taken from different areas:
  • Throat
  • Urethra (for people with a penis)
  • Vaginal lining (for people with a vulva)
  • Anus
  • The samples are preserved in special tubes and sent to Dr. Risch's lab for analysis.

What happens if my test is positive?

  • If chlamydia or gonorrhea is found, you'll get a text message telling you to see a doctor and start antibiotic treatment.
  • It's also important to let your sexual partners know so they can get tested and treated too.

When will I get my results?

You'll usually get your results 2 to 5 days after your swab.
