What happens when you come for a test at TEST-IN?
If you'd like to get advice and tested with us, here's how it works.
When you arrive (at reception), we'll greet you and register you anonymously. You'll get your own anonymous code and a questionnaire, which you can fill out quietly in the waiting room.
After you've filled out the questionnaire, a counselor will come get you and take you to the consultation room. There, you can tell them your questions and talk about any potential risk situations. Once you've decided which tests you want, we'll take a blood sample. Depending on the tests, we might need blood from a vein or just a finger prick.
If you choose to have a swab test, they'll explain how it works. You'll then hand in your sealed samples at reception.
You'll get the result of your HIV test after 20 minutes, and you'll come back to the consultation room for that.
In the meantime, you can pay for your tests either in cash with the counselor or by card (Twint is also an option) at reception.
The whole thing usually takes about 40 to 60 minutes.
