1
At the beginning you will be greeted by our Intake team at reception. We need your cell phone number, which you can enter on a screen. Your number is not visible to us and will be converted into a code. This code is individual and unique. We can use it to protect your anonymity and can also provide you with information about your tests and results after the consultation. The intake team will need a few details from you. They will ask you for the canton in which you live, the first two digits of your zip code, your year of birth and which language you prefer.
2
You will then be asked to scan a QR with your cell phone. This will take you to an anonymous questionnaire. We can also give you an iPad that you can use for the anonymous questionnaire. Completing the questionnaire takes about 10 minutes and helps the FOPH (Federal Office of Public Health) to adapt its prevention efforts. Your statements cannot be traced back to you.
3
You can take your time in the waiting room to answer the anonymous questionnaire and will then be picked up by the counselor. The counselor works in a professional and non-judgmental manner. You can talk openly about your concerns, fears and questions. The counselor will need some information to make the best possible assessment of your situation.
4
You will receive a test recommendation during the consultation. You can then decide for yourself which tests you would like to take. If you decide on a test, we will take some blood from you. This blood can be used to carry out the HIV, syphilis and hepatitis C tests.
5
If you have taken a rapid HIV test, you will be collected from the waiting room by the counselor after a waiting time of 20 minutes. You will be told the result and have the opportunity to ask further questions. You can give any swab tubes to the counselor. If you have only opted for a syphilis and/or hepatitis C laboratory test, you are finished with the consultation. You can hand in any swab tubes at the intake. You will receive the results in two to four working days.
We are on site for you!
